Monkey Bread

Ingredients:
4 pack of Pillsbury plain biscuits
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1 cup raisins (optional)
1 cup brown sugar
1 stick of butter

Combine sugar and cinnamon. Cut each biscuit into fourths and roll in cinnamon/sugar and place in Angel food or Bundt pan. Sprinkle nuts/raisins after each layer of biscuit pieces.

Bring butter and brown sugar to a boil then pour over biscuits and bake 30 minutes at 375 degrees. Turn over on plate when done so it doesn't stick.

Great with coffee in the AM. Serves 6.

Roy & Clyde: The butter/brown sugar "boil" didn't ooze down--it just kinda formed a crust on top; it was not the best monkey bread I've had. Sorry.

Imagi responds: I've never had that happen. The brown sugar has to be completely melted and the pan must be a bundt pan. For some reason it won't work in a regular pan.
